Marina Pargas – Paraisten Marina

Marina Pargas – Paraisten Marina is located at the northern tip of the Iso Tervo Island (60°16,13 N and 22°18,30 E) strategically just beside the city of Parainen in the heart of the Finnish Archipelago. Driving time from Turku is 30 minutes and from Helsinki approximately 1.5 hours

The new marina will offer exceptionally versatile services for boaters and the marina also has a deep water harbour area. The deep water harbour and its current services will be developed further and buildings already existing on the premises (6000 m2) will be renovated for winter storage of boats and for repair and maintenance operations. 

Marina Pargas will offer boaters full services. Service offerings will include pier places, winter storage, service and maintenance, equipment installation, repairs, cleaning and supplying food, beverages etc. Both short and long term pier places will be available for both domestic and foreign boaters, which may then enjoy the unique Finnish Archipelago and use the Marina Pargas as a base which offers full services.

The project which was launched several months ago into full swing will create unique opportunities for the boating industry. Upon completion Marina Pargas – Paraisten Marina will offer unprecedented opportunities for boaters during the summer period cruising season as well as during the winter storage and maintenance season.

Summer season 2008

The both cold and warm storage available for hundreds of boats. There are also available several open fields which have an asphalt cover for winter storage of boats. A new hall with inner height of 12 meters is also being constructed. The lifting and launching of boats will be handled with the newest type of hydraulic lifting tralers. Boats with a displacement of up to 50 tons can already be handled  and later boats with a displacement of up to 150 tons can be handled.

There are approximately 200 – 300 winter storage places available already. The total length of the pier will be 1.5 kilometres, which can accommodate approximately 600 – 800 boats. The first piers are already operational  for the summer season of 2008.

Marina Pargas – Paraisten Marina is a project demanding years of work but will also create possibilities which make it feasible to create professional services for boats exceeding 40 feet without forgetting smaller sized boats. Marina Pargas also has the potential to acquire special equipment not feasible for smaller operators. The goal of 1000 winter storage places is a conservative goal considering the current needs of the market.
